Ever wondered where you could possibly get a phoenix sighting?

Where do they live?

Phoenixes would usually nest on mountain peaks, higher than what most species can climb. They prefer little to no interaction with other creatures, but they are said to be one of the most gentle beasts out there. They are native to Egypt, India, and China.

What kind of animal are they?

They are reported to be strictly herbivores that are not known for aggression. They are very difficult to domesticate, but are known to be highly intelligent and extremely loyal creatures that are willing to aid beings who share a similar devotion.

Do they have any special evolutionary adaptations?

The most startling of the phoenix's traits is its ability to regenerate itself. It periodically bursts into flames when its body becomes old, and rises from the ashes as a newborn chick. This phenomenon gives these birds a great life span.

Their eyes become dull, their feathers start to fall out, and they begin to make gagging noises. Then, the bird suddenly burst into flames, only to rise from the ashes shortly after. In a number of days, they grow back to full size. Thanks to this uncanny ability, phoenixes live to an immense age, perhaps even forever.

Moreover, their tears have potent healing capabilities. For instance, their tears are able to bring a person back even from the brink of death. They also produce songs that have a deep emotional impact, magical in nature and able to provide support and comfort.

Do they have any predators?

Phoenixes have no known natural predators. This is because they are immune to most afflictions and injury due to their mystical composition and regenerative capability. They also posses great strength and prowess in flame manipulation to deter would-be predators.
